How to create simple reflection text in Photoshop
Creating a reflection on a text heading is quite simple in Photoshop. Here's how we did it for our new website design over at www.bpsdesigns.co.uk.
First off create some text on a layer. Make sure your background colour is the same as the one where you are going to put the image. In our case blue.
Next duplicate that text layer and click Edit, Transform, Flip Vertical on the new layer. Press v on your keyboard or click the move tool and move the new layer down so it's just under your original layer.
Now, with your new layer selected, click the "add layer mask" button and choose the gradient tool. Click and drag your mouse straight down from the top of the upside down text layer to somewhere near the middle. This will fade out the text.
Then simply add a stroke to the original layer to make it look nice and there you have it.
